Spanish Greyhound

Spanish Greyhounds have typical sighthound personalities. They're shy and reserved at first, but they love people and are not afraid to be affectionate. This dog’s energetic side comes out when they're on the run, but at home, you can expect Spanish Greyhounds to be more relaxed, enjoy spending time with you, and follow your every move.

Spanish Greyhounds have smooth, short hair that may be soft or wiry. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, all of which are easy to take care of. Spanish Greyhounds are quite low maintenance when it comes to grooming. With a weekly brushing and occasional bath, these pups will be good to go.

The Spanish Greyhound can be content in an apartment or house, as long as they get enough exercise and activity. They tend to love kids and other dogs. These Greyhounds are friendly with cats too, but because of their strong prey drive, they may see a cat as dinner rather than a pal to play with. Supervise your Spanish Greyhound around cats and small animals, and provide it with training and socialization until you’re confident they can get along.

Spanish Greyhounds need at least half an hour of exercise each day. They’re great runners but prefer to sprint instead of running long distances. Always keep them on a leash during outdoor activities, as they’re known to dart off at a moment’s notice when they see a cat or furry friend.
