The Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog has a goofy name but is a no-nonsense working dog. These high-energy dogs herd cattle in the extreme Australian Outback environment. They are responsive to their owners and are easy to train. The Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog is loyal and can make a good family watchdog!

Behavior

Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs have strong herding instincts. If they don’t have a clear leader in the house, they might even try to herd the heels of family members. They have smarts and stamina and get bored easily. If you find them chewing on things they shouldn’t, you may need to increase the amount of their mental and physical activity. Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs are independent, and although they like to be praised, they don’t necessarily seek affection. They are devoted dogs and can make excellent family watchdogs.

Coat
