The puppies have been raised in our house and have a doggy door to be able to go outside to do their job. The puppies have grown up around other adult dogs. We have adult children living here plus kids down to 13 years old. We have one cat. The awesome thing about the Aussie's is when we were in Florida they had work to do and loved to do it. But Since moving to Montana where we have no work for them to do, they are just as happy to lay around and do nothing. They just like doing what ever we are doing and being with us. That is why we got the Aussies in the first place because we wanted a people orientated dog that doesn't need to be working. Plus, a super smart dog so they are easily trained. We feed and all natural and or organic diet to the puppies and adult dogs. Australian Shepherds are great for working, resting and playing. Just an all around smart and great dog that loves to love and please you. Because they are so smart they are easily trainable. We feed an all natural and or organic diet to give the puppies, what we feel, is the best start nutrition to their lives. The puppies have grown up on a stir fry with eggs plus usually elk meat and or deer. Carrots, cucumbers, celery, broccoli, cauliflower are used in the stir fry most but that can vary. We used to use an organic brown rice but switched to a premium sticky rice. Sticky rice helps the immune system.
